Learn Spanish while exploring the culture of Oaxaca

We are really excited to be returning to Oaxaca, Mexico, in January to explore the culture while simultaneously learning Spanish.

Here is how this will work. Instead of sitting in a classroom to study Spanish, we are going to take our Spanish teacher with us as we go out into the community to meet people. We will meet people as we visit some of the many craft villages that surround the city of Oaxaca, as we visit markets to learn about Oaxacan cuisine, and as we visit various artisan cooperatives, museums and archeological sites.

All the while, your teacher will be there to help you communicate in Spanish

Oaxaca has the charm of a small colonial city yet it is large enough to show you a side of Mexico missed by most visitors – and of course, it will be our outdoor classroom for practicing Spanish.

This is a new concept developed by your trip leader Mimi Marchev and Spanish language instructor Roberto Cruz. The format can accommodate Spanish speakers of all levels.
