New Gastronomy tour in France a delicious success

Travel Fever Tours’ first foodie trip to Provence, France, was a great success in October. It went so well, we’re adding more gastronomy tours to our schedule, including one to Brittany in April and another to Porto, Portugal in late April.

In Provence we stayed in our favorite hotel in Vaison la Romaine and indulged in cheese tasting, a 3-course truffle meal, visits to 2 vineyards and time at 3 French markets.  We also visited an olive oil mill and took a cooking class. And needless to say, we ate at some very nice restaurants.

But one can’t eat all day long, leaving us time for walking tours of area villages and exploration of both the medieval city and the roman ruins within Vaison.

Big surprise of the trip:  Truffle ice cream is quite good!

Obviously, Provence has much to offer the visitor and I’m pleased that we were able to share a good portion of it with our group.

Beyond next year, we are considering foodie trips to Seville, the Alsace, Oaxaca Mexico, and more.  (The Brittany trip for next April is full, but we’ll soon add the same trip to our website for 2025.  I’ll let you know when it is online.)
