Andalucia, Spain, Artist Workshop

For a week in April 2016, oil painters joined us in Zahara de la Sierra, a “puebla blanca” an hour south of Seville in western Andalucia. Zahara sits in a dramatic location on a hill topped by a Moorish tower and above a large lake. The location offered artists a wide variety of painting locations, both in an outside the village.

In addition to our painting time, we took an excursion to Seville to see the city and take a tapas tour. One evening we visited Rhonda for dinner and a Flamenco show. We visited an olive oil producer and a vineyard for tastings.

These photos show you the beauty of this part of Spain.
