Explore the diversity of Costa Rica in February
Costa Rica is an amazing place. There are 12 distinct ecosystems. A half million species can be found there. And the land stretches from the ocean to the mountains at nearly 10,000 feet.
We can’t show you all of Costa Rica on the trip we’re leading there next February. There is too much to take in all at once. But we will see and do quite a bit. We’ll talk to researchers at the Institute for Tropical Studies, we’ll visit chocolate and coffee plantations, we’ll see birds and frogs and amazing plants. We’ll visit a Maccaw rescue organization and view wildlife from a boat.
We will have exclusive use of a minibus and driver to take us about and a Costa Rican naturalist will serve as our fulltime guide. He’s also quite a skilled photographer (please see some of his photos at the end of this email).
We will move east to west across Costa Rica, starting out north of San Jose before moving to the volcanic region in the center of the country. We’ll finish up at a beach-front hotel on the Pacific coast. We’ll see more there and you’ll also have time to simply enjoy the water and the beauty.
The dates are January 30 to February 8, 2025.
